Digital development in rural environments and communities allows for the incorporation of new areas of work into the traditional economy. The use of technologies such as IoT and artificial intelligence in environments such as agriculture, heritage conservation or the generation of renewable energy for use in rural energy communities has created specific challenges in the field of cybersecurity. This summer course will analyse the implementations of IoT technologies in these areas as well as the cybersecurity solutions needed to develop secure and reliable environments. This summer course is funded through the "Smart Rural IoT and Secured Environments" chair, associated with the action for the promotion of Cyber Security Chairs in Spain of the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE). This initiative is carried out in the framework of the EU-funded Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan funds (Next Generation), the Spanish Government's blueprint for modernising the Spanish economy, recovering economic growth and job creation, strengthening inclusive and resilient economic reconstruction after the COVID-19 crisis, and responding to the challenges of the next decade.
En los años 60 del siglo pasado, las empresas se mantenían en la lista del índice 500 de Standard & Poors durante 60 años; hoy lo hacen durante sólo 10. Algo está cambiando. Lo único que no cambia es el propio cambio, y por ello la innovación se ha convertido en una función estratégica para el éxito de las empresas. Si antes las empresas que innovaban eran las que disponían de presupuesto suficiente como para mantener a un grupo de científicos en su Departamento de I+D, ahora la innovación es cosa de todos, desde la Dirección hasta el nuevo empleado en cualquier área de la empresa. Pero la innovación es una actividad poco comprendida, generalmente (y erróneamente) vista como cara, difícilmente alcanzable, y elitista.
En este taller explicaremos qué significa innovar, qué rol juega la innovación abierta y qué beneficios aporta, y qué pasos puede llevar a cabo cualquier organización para convertirse en una empresa innovadora en poco tiempo, utilizando ejemplos reales y cercanos.
